Home Inspection Services

The process starts when you call to 301-347-8951 or email us at onewallllc@gmail.com (that's with 4 L's) so we can discuss the property and schedule an appointment to come out. An Internachi certified professional home inspector will come out and inspect the property. We will go over the exterior, roof, doors, windows, chimneys, decks, grounds, HVAC system, water heater, plumbing, electrical system, sump pumps, crawlspaces and attics. We will also give you insights into what are the visible deficiencies in the residence at the time of the inspection and some helpful hints as to how to maintain the home. We may discuss maintenance items to give you an idea of what systems may be coming to the end of their useful life and what you may want to consider replacing in the future.

Radon Testing

At One Wall at at Time, one of our top priorities is to keep our clients safe and understand the dangers of radon and the radon decay products that can be harmful to both people and animals. Since one out of 15 homes have elevated radon concentrations and it's the second highest cause of lung cancer (second to smoking), One Wall At A Time is able to test for radon. In order to conduct this test, the house must be closed for 12 hours prior to the test. This means the windows remain closed and doors are only used briefly for entering and exiting the home. The test generally begins during the home inspection and then we return to the home approximately 48 hours later to pick up the tests which will then be sent to the lab. We will either email or mail you the results and inform you if it is an actionable result.

Home Maintenance Inspections

At One Wall At A Time, we find that many homes lack proper maintenance because once the move in occurs, the suggested upkeep may forgotten or overlooked. We recommend that you schedule an annual inspection with One Wall At A Time. This service plan will help you maintain the upkeep of your property and potentially eliminate costly repairs. Whether we find safety concerns or general maintenance issues, addressing this sooner than later will cost you less in the future.

One Wall At A Time will hold prices for three years in your current home we inspected if the following year's maintenance inspection is scheduled at the end of the initial inspection.
